This is a dynamic leadership role that combines strategic insight, operational oversight, and stakeholder engagement to deliver meaningful impact across the health system.
The role involves leading a team of six to ensure the effective delivery of branch priorities across the health system. It also requires providing trusted advice and high-level communications on behalf of the Executive Director.
You will be responsible for overseeing budgets, planning, and reporting, aligning branch activities with organisational goals. Additionally, you will anticipate risks and emerging issues, and develop strategies that support informed decision making and timely organisational responses.
About You- You must have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience, with a strong commitment to ongoing growth and professional development.
- You should have experience in government or the broader public sector, or an understanding of complex governance environments.
- You need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operations.
- You should be able to build trusted working relationships with diverse stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- You require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide, support, and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.

This is a temporary role, but there may be opportunities for ongoing employment at grade.
