Join our team as a Pharmacist in a diverse and challenging hospital environment. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will work closely with a close-knit team to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care to regional patients.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist who is eager to rotate through various clinical areas and the dispensary. On wards, you will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to review patient medications, provide clinical advice and information to nursing and medical staff, and help patients and carers adjust to changes in medicine regimens.
This is a great opportunity for early career or experienced pharmacists who want to challenge themselves and develop their skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be supported by a network of senior pharmacists, district QUM team, and educator. Regular education sessions, including in-services, grand rounds, and district pharmacist education services, will enhance your knowledge and expertise.
The pharmacy team at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital (TRRH) is an experienced group of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. We provide clinical and support services to 12 rural and regional hospitals across the New England North West of NSW.

Key Responsibilities:- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a close-knit team
- Rotate through various clinical areas and the dispensary
- Review patient medications and provide clinical advice and information
- Help patients and carers adjust to changes in medicine regimens
- Proof of eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration agency, Pharmacy
- Fulfillment of the criteria for grade 2 pharmacist in accordance with the Health Employees' Pharmacists (State) Award

We are a Category A position that requires compliance with NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015: Occupational Assessment, Screening, and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases.
