
Clinical Nurse Consultant in Perinatal Mental Health

Job Summary:
As a clinical nurse consultant in substance use in pregnancy, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical care to mothers, children and families.
About the Role:
- Lead and provide expert clinical advice to patients, clients, carers and other healthcare professionals with complex healthcare needs within child and family services.
- Model organisational values such as collaboration, openness, respect and empowerment.
- Contribute to strategic and clinical service planning.
The role will be part of the Western Sydney Local Health District's Substance Use in Pregnancy team, which aims to deliver comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions for pregnant women and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement evidence-based nursing practices to address the clinical needs of pregnant women and their families.
- Provide leadership and support to multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote best practice in substance use in pregnancy care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care.
What You'll Need:
- Degree in Nursing or relevant field
- Postgraduate qualifications in midwifery or related field
- Experience in clinical leadership and management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
