Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for supervising logistics personnel and managing logistics responsibilities on a project.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with experience in coordinating shipments and ensuring the safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods.

About the Role
  • This position is subject to project receiving notice to proceed and is an expression of interest only at this point in time.
  • The Supply Chain Operations Manager performs work as a logistics technical or commercial role supporting a moderate-sized project with moderate scope as a deployed, dedicated resource in the home office or field.
  • Business/project travel may be required at the request of the Project Supply Chain Manager, Project Logistic Manager.
Key Responsibilities
  • Performs domestic and international multi-leg shipment responsibilities in support of project requirements to ensure the safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements.
  • Coordinates shipments with requisite internal and external entities.
  • Ensures entry of shipment tracking data into Transport Management System (TMS) and other functional tools/systems to provide visibility shipment status.
  • Prepares logistics reports or performance metrics as required to satisfy project information requirements.
  • Ensures audit and processing of Logistics Service Provider invoices in accordance with project procedures.
  • Identifies transport cost and service alternatives to support materials/equipment purchase decisions and use of Logistics Service Providers.
  • Assists the project Logistics Lead as requested.
  • Files and resolves Logistics Service Provider claims.
  • Prepares Logistics Service Provider commercial bid tabs, commitment authorizations and contract documents.
  • Prepares logistics studies including site and Logistics Service Provider facility visits.
  • Integrates safety requirements and measures in all logistics activities.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 5 to 8 years of relevant experience or 9 to 12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Home, Field and deployed project experience preferred.
  • Chain of Responsibility (CoR)/ Transport Assurance proficient knowledge, certification preferred.
  • Experience with medium to large-scale projects highly regarded.
