About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Operations & Maintenance team at the Tindal RAAF Base in NT. As a key player in the Defence industry, this role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment supporting the national security requirements of the Nation.

This is an exciting chance to be part of a core crew of UGL technicians, working closely with experienced professionals and contributing to the delivery of effective and sustainable services.

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills and experience working in fixed plant maintenance, preferably fuel services or Oil & Gas. A trade qualification in mechanical fitting is essential, along with relevant post-trade experience and a proven track record of delivering high-quality outcomes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment.
  • Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment.
  • Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment.
  • Support subcontracted work packages as required.
  • Support various sites in the region, with occasional requirement to travel to various sites throughout NT.
