Job Overview

The position of Environmental Compliance Manager is a pivotal role that oversees the execution of environmental compliance tasks, including waste levy compliance. This involves leading and undertaking key responsibilities to ensure seamless operations within a multi-disciplinary team.

The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities, assigning tasks to the team, assessing risk and complexity, and providing advice and guidance on escalated matters. Effective communication and negotiation skills are essential in liaising with stakeholders to resolve environmental management issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Undertake Compliance Tasks: Oversee the implementation of waste levy compliance and other environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate Team Activities: Supervise daily operations, assign tasks, and assess risk and complexity to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide Guidance and Advice: Offer well-considered advice and guidance on escalated matters to support team members.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Communicate effectively with governments, industry groups, and community organizations to resolve environmental concerns.
