About the Role

Bis Industries is seeking a skilled Tactical Planner to lead the short-term planning process, ensuring seamless transitions from strategy to execution. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for coordinating the monthly S&OP and overseeing the rolling 4-week tactical plan to ensure alignment of asset availability, labour capacity, and workshop needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the tactical planning process, including coordinating the monthly S&OP and overseeing the rolling 4-week tactical plan to ensure alignment of asset availability, labour capacity, and workshop needs.
  • Coordinate the weekly planning meeting and collaborate with the workshop scheduler to ensure a seamless transition from planning to execution, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Ensure internal and external workshops deliver according to operational schedules.
  • Optimise resource allocation based on asset maintenance schedules, job complexity, and fluctuating customer demand.
  • Coordinate lessons-learned reviews monthly, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide insight into long-term capacity planning, influencing future strategies and workforce development.
What You'll Need
  • 5+ years of experience in a planning or scheduling role.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in maintenance management systems (JDE preferred) and a commitment to driving operational success.
