Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Merchandise Planner to join our team at Retailworld Resourcing. As a key member of our premium apparel planning team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our brand.

About the Role

As the Senior Merchandise Planner, you will be responsible for driving growth through strategic financial planning and effective stock management. You will work closely with our senior leadership team and international partners to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the financial planning process, ensuring sales, profit, and stock targets are aligned across the brand.
  • Provide key insights on sales, gross profit, and inventory to drive action and inform trade meetings.
  • Manage planning across the brand, from local productions to premium international imports.
  • Ensure stock levels remain optimal, carefully managing aged inventory while maintaining the brand's premium positioning.
  • Lead and inspire a small team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience managing diverse product ranges in high-end/luxury apparel, with a focus on premium products and navigating both local and international markets.
  • Expertise in financial planning, P&L management, and OTB processes.
  • Understanding of customer trends and behavior, with the ability to make smart inventory and financial decisions.
  • Comfortable leading a small team and collaborating with others across the business.
  • Skilled in planning systems/tools and inventory management systems.
