About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Sourcing Manager APAC to join our team at FLSmidth. As a key member of our Procurement Strategy & Development team, you will play a critical role in driving cost savings and sustainability across our regional operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Connect Category Spending and Procurement People: Collaborate with regional procurement teams to bundle spend and ensure alignment with global directives.
  • Drive Savings Initiatives: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in collaboration with the regional Procurement Organization.
  • Analyze Regional Demand and Supply: Ensure supply for key strategic parts according to customer requirements.
  • Manage Supply Chain Disruptions: Identify and resolve supply chain gaps and disruptions in collaboration with the Procurement Organization.
  • Develop Strategic Partnerships: Foster relationships with key vendors and develop them into strategic partners to enable advanced initiatives.
  • Represent the Region: Participate in strategic sourcing initiatives and represent the region's interests.
  • Share Knowledge: Engage in knowledge sharing across business lines to drive best practices and innovation.
Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree: In Business Administration or equivalent knowledge.
  • Commercial and Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial and financial principles.
  • Purchasing Experience: Significant experience in a purchasing role, with a focus on cost savings and sustainability.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Ability to compile reports and performance calculations, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Market Analysis and Trend Identification: Experience in performing market analyses and identifying trends to inform decision-making.
  • Project Leadership: Ability to lead projects and contribute to the development of global strategies.
