Position Overview:

As a Regional Sourcing Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Procurement & Strategy Development within our Mining Service Procurement division. Your primary focus will be on spearheading strategic initiatives to drive cost efficiencies through effective regional and local purchasing strategies, comprehensive cost structure evaluations, and the implementation of commercial, technical, and procedural enhancements. This role is pivotal in establishing pricing agreements, minimizing lead times, and promoting supplier sustainability.

The Procurement Strategy & Development team plays a crucial role in Service Procurement, ensuring our aftermarket clients receive high-quality service that is both timely and budget-friendly. We are dedicated to fostering the company's growth and profitability by managing a significant portion of our Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). Our global team is tasked with strategic category management and building commercial funds, all while adhering to the company's core values and sustainability objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate collaboration among procurement teams across the region to consolidate spending and ensure alignment with global procurement directives.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in partnership with the regional Procurement Organization.
  • Analyze regional demand and supply trends to ensure the availability of critical strategic components in line with customer needs.
  • Detect supply chain disruptions and devise solutions in collaboration with the Procurement Organization regarding lead times and pricing agreements.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers, transforming them into strategic partners to support advanced initiatives such as framework agreements and value engineering, in alignment with global strategies.
  • Represent the region in strategic sourcing efforts.
  • Promote knowledge sharing across various Business Lines.

What You Bring:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and financial principles.
  • Extensive experience in procurement roles.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Proficiency in compiling reports and performance metrics to support procurement, sales, and project initiatives.
  • Experience in analyzing market conditions and trends to inform decision-making and enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of strategic initiatives and share best practices globally.
  • Capability to lead projects within the global procurement framework to support the execution of procurement strategies.
