Counselling Educator Opportunity

At Torrens University Australia, we're committed to making a difference in the lives of our students and the community. As a Counselling Educator, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of our Counselling Education team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage small or large, blended/hybrid and online classes, ensuring student participation and engagement.
  • Validate and review teaching materials, making recommendations as per organisational policy and procedures.
  • Utilise learning technology effectively, embedding it in subject or unit delivery.
  • Engage in student-centered learning and teaching practices, including competency-based learning and assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement best practice in teaching and learning.

Requirements:

  • Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with LLN competency or any Postgraduate adult education qualification.
  • Experience in education/training and assessment at the CHC51015 Diploma of Counselling level.
  • Understanding of pedagogical and/or adult learning principles relevant to teaching counselling subjects units.
  • Sound understanding and practice of professional counselling for at least two years.
  • Full membership of PACFA or ACA counselling association.
