Physician Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled specialist medical practitioner to join our dynamic General Medicine Unit.
About the RoleThe unit is one of the largest and busiest inpatient units, comprising 11.9 FTE of SMS, 18 Advanced Trainees, and approximately 60 basic physician trainees and interns rotating through the unit.
- As a member of the team, you will participate in an on-call roster and weekend ward rounds, as well as opportunities to participate in perioperative ward round rosters and general medicine clinics.
The General Medicine service sits within the Division of Aged, General Medicine and Subacute Services, delivering high-quality healthcare to patients across various acute and subacute inpatient units.
To be successful in this role, you must have current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, approved for adult general medicine scope of practice, relevant clinical experience, and clinical competence required for practice as a consultant physician in General and Acute Care Medicine.
In addition, experience in the support and supervision of Junior Medical Staff is highly desirable.
