Delivery Specialist

Couriers are the backbone of our logistics network, entrusted with the responsibility of safely transporting goods across various routes while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently deliver and collect consignments in metropolitan and regional areas.
  • Plan and schedule routes to optimize delivery efficiency, inspecting packages for any damage or discrepancies.
  • Accurately record and notify management of any faulty packaging or damaged items.
  • Utilize appropriate equipment to load and unload vehicles, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Prevent movement of freight during transit by implementing necessary security measures.
  • Adhere to punctual completion of runs, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Obtain recipient signatures upon delivery.
  • Deliver superior customer service throughout all interactions.
  • Ensure proper handling and security measures for all packages.
  • Address delivery challenges, such as damaged items or inaccessible delivery locations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a similar role.
  • Valid driver's license for a two-axle rigid vehicle.
  • Good driving record.
  • Proficiency in operating various loading equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Physical stamina.
Physical Demands:
  • Lifting up to 20kg, typical weights ranging between 2kg and 10kg.
  • Constant standing and walking; may squat to lift items. Pallet jack and moving trolleys require push/pull physical demands.
  • May work in cold environments of -4 degrees Celsius for short periods.
  • Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness and safety.
