As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming calls to book appointments and provide informative animal care advice. You will screen or take messages for other team members as appropriate and determine patients requiring urgent treatment & assign emergency appointments as required.
A Day in the Life- You will monitor and coach others on safe workplace procedures, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
- Determine and prepare all client/patient required information & coordinate the completion of necessary forms prior to each consultation.
- Coordinate billing, payment, check-out & rebooking of outgoing clients & patients, maintaining accurate records throughout the process.
- Prepare the reception area for opening, presenting a welcoming environment for clients and pets.
- Clean and tidy ensure the hospital frontage, front reception area and office equipment are clean, organised and presentable at all times, upholding high standards of hygiene and aesthetics.
You will also assist with stock management and participate in return-to-work plans, as needed. General business administration tasks may also be assigned.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a customer service or reception role, providing exceptional support to clients and teams.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office level, proficient in various software applications.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a calm and friendly manner, building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Demonstrates compassion & empathy, with strong emotional resilience in fast-paced environments.
- Works well in a team and independently, with the ability to build and maintain strong working & client relationships.
