Director of Early Childhood Education

We are seeking an exceptional Director of Early Childhood Education to lead our educational program at Explorers Early Learning Centre in Melbourne.

This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated and passionate professional to take charge of developing, implementing, and maintaining our curriculum, ensuring that it aligns with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Reggio Emilia-inspired approaches and be committed to creating a nurturing environment that fosters children's curiosity, creativity, and love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the educational program, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and excellence
  • Lead a team of educators in delivering high-quality programs that cater to diverse needs and abilities
  • Maintain strong relationships with families, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in decision-making processes
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of professionalism, respect, and open communication
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and innovations in early childhood education, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Diploma level Early Childhood education and care qualification
  • Experience as an Educational Leader or Director highly desirable
  • Current First Aid training certificate
  • Current Working With Children Check
