Early Childhood Education Director

Oak Park Early Learning seeks an experienced and dedicated individual to lead a brand new centre, providing high-quality education and care programs for children from 6 months to 6 years old. The centre will be located in Oak Park, Melbourne's north, and will accommodate 79 children per day.
The successful candidate will have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or higher and at least 3 years of experience in managing a long day care service. They will also possess strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to form strong relationships with families, children, staff, and external stakeholders.
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and passionate professional to make their mark in the early childhood education sector. The centre will follow a play and milestone-based learning program for younger children and a Montessori-inspired program for 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten students.
As a centre Director and Assistant Director/Educational Leader, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing quality educational and care programs
- Growing the centre with children, families, and recruitment while creating a positive work culture and community
- Managing staff and fostering a positive workplace culture
- Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and adapting/implementing changes through policies and procedures
The role requires you to be the face of the centre, being confident and present professionally. You will also have access to in-house occupational therapy services and staff discounts towards childcare fees.
