As a Principal Internal Auditor, you will have the opportunity to drive accountability and outcomes through persistent professionalism and transparency.

This role involves undertaking audits and other branch activities, supervising end-to-end auditing to assess departments' areas of compliance with legislation, directives, policies, procedures, and industry standards.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Working in a team environment and providing constructive advice on the effectiveness of government, risk management, and control processes;
  • Preparing written reports;
  • Providing helpful and practical advice and guidance to clients during and outside of audit processes.

To succeed in this position, you will demonstrate previous experience working within an internal audit position within a Top Tier Commercial or Public Sector business. You will also possess excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a proficient understanding of risk-based auditing.

You will be part of a collaborative working environment that offers attractive hourly rates, weekly pay cycles, choice of superannuation fund, online timesheet submission and approval, no hidden costs or payroll deductions, and regular contact with consultants throughout the duration of your assignment.

In order to achieve success in this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A proven track record of working in internal audit roles;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • A thorough understanding of risk-based auditing;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal auditing, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn and develop their skills further.
