Options Trader role requires strong knowledge of equity options markets.


About the Role

This position involves managing an equity options book, developing and executing trading strategies, and collaborating with quantitative researchers to optimize pricing and risk management.


The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of options Greeks, volatility surfaces, and market microstructure.


They are confident in their decision-making abilities, have a solid risk framework, and can think entrepreneurially.


Senior-level experience in a trading firm or bank is preferred, with a track record of profitability in directional or volatility-based strategies.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute trading strategies for equity options across key APAC single stocks.
  • Collaborate with quant researchers to optimize pricing and hedging models.
  • Make real-time trading decisions based on market dynamics, volatility, and flow.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the equity options trading desk, from strategy refinement to new market expansion.
  • Mentor junior traders and share expertise to strengthen the team.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as an equity options trader in a trading firm or bank.
  • Strong understanding of options Greeks, volatility surfaces, and market microstructure.
  • Proven track record of profitability in directional or volatility-based strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to think creatively.
