Job Title: Equity Options Trader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equity Options Trader to join our team.

As an Equity Options Trader, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our trading desk. Your primary focus will be on ensuring seamless trading system parity by working closely with traders, operations, and external prime brokers.

  • Resolving trade discrepancies in liaison with desk and IT teams.
  • Completing equity and derivative trade bookings.
  • Collaborating with the program desk to set up and facilitate domestic and international trading details.
  • Setting up Australian equity products.
  • Participating in projects and strategic initiatives as required.
  • Remain flexible regarding the products handled.
  • Liaising with local and global IT teams to ensure correct trade flow through systems.
  • Compiling monthly management reporting data.

Our ideal candidate possesses approximately 3+ years of experience in middle office or trade support at a global investment bank focused on equity options trading support. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong understanding of equity options.

The successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. They should also have a solid understanding of financial markets and instruments, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and trade booking software.
