Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with preventative and breakdown maintenance of all Fixed Plant equipment, including in general plant maintenance, shutdowns, fault-finding, and project work.
  • Perform, operate, and maintain activities on crushers, conveyor systems, dewatering systems, ventilation systems, pumps, and more.
  • Monitor and report on the status of equipment.
  • Assist with shutdown, coordination, and execution.
Requirements
  • A current trade qualification as either a Fitter, Fitter and Machinist, or Welder.
  • Experience as a Fitter in Fixed Plant or underground mining is desirable.
  • Experience on various types of crushers, conveyor systems, dewatering systems, ventilation systems, pumps, and more.
  • The ability to identify major hazards within assigned tasks and implement the correct critical controls prior to starting any work.
  • Current manual driver's license.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with SAP or similar system would be advantageous.
