Job Title: Mechanical Technician

The Mechanical Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the Gravity Concentrator System operates efficiently and effectively. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and a willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform safe work practices and adhere to maintenance programs within budget.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize planned downtime.
  • Maximize equipment availability and performance through planned, unplanned, and opportune maintenance.
  • Monitor and report on equipment status.
  • Assist with shutdown, coordination, and execution.
Requirements:
  • A current trade qualification as a Fitter/Boilermaker combined with experience in Fixed Plant or underground mining is essential.
  • Experience working at a leading hand/supervisor level within mechanical maintenance is preferred.
  • The ability to identify major hazards and implement critical controls is critical.
  • A current manual driver's license is required.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with SAP or similar systems are advantageous.
