We are seeking a skilled Medical Officer to join our multidisciplinary team at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network. As an older persons care specialist, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing innovative models of care that set new standards in patient outcomes.

About the Opportunity

As a member of our dynamic healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to manage and oversee the treatment of patients within our service. You will work closely with a dedicated team of consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

The experience gained in this role will support your development or enhancement of skills including:

  • Multidisciplinary care models and case-conference
  • Geriatric care including medical assessment, medication management, acute deterioration
  • Engagement with the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and working alongside geriatricians completing capacity assessments
  • Crucial conversations with patients and substitute decision makers
