Senior IT Project Manager

The Senior IT Project Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the delivery of digital and technology-enabled projects that support strategic objectives.

This involves overseeing multiple concurrent IT projects, collaborating closely with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, objectives, and success criteria, and coordinating internal and external resources to ensure project alignment with strategic priorities.

About This Role
  • This is a high-priority initiative involving the transition of ICT tenancy agreements and services to a new provider or internal model.
  • The PM will initially lead this project, with the opportunity to influence and lead components of a broader ICT transformation.
Your Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple IT projects concurrently.
  • Work with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with the Portfolio Manager and Enterprise Architect to ensure project alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, including technical teams, vendors, and service providers.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Manage project risks and issues proactively and escalate where appropriate.
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to governance standards, including change management and quality assurance processes.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to senior management and governance bodies.
  • Promote continuous improvement and lessons learned across all project activities.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Strong experience in managing IT infrastructure, cloud, and application development projects.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2, PMBOK).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical literacy to understand complex ICT environments and translate technical concepts for business audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships.
