Medical Officer in Gastroenterology
Sydney Local Health District is seeking an experienced Medical Officer to join our team at Canterbury Hospital.

Job Description:
The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Gastroenterology/Hepatology. The successful applicant will be responsible for participating in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities under the General Medicine Department and The Canterbury Hospital as required.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Gastroenterology/Hepatology
* Participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities under the General Medicine Department and The Canterbury Hospital as required
* Ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Gastroenterology) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
