Agentic Conversational Designer Role

This role focuses on designing AI-forward experiences that create structured, human-centred interactions to help people get things done across chat, voice, and emerging interfaces.

We are looking for a designer with agentic experiences who can create clear, human-centred language for AI-driven interactions. This includes writing tone variation, contextual cues, and progressive disclosure for dynamic conversations.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in writing clear, human-centred content for multimodal interactions (voice, text, visual, gesture) and demonstrated ability to design structured and non-linear conversation flows, considering escalation, turn-taking, and zero-UI inputs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design for the use of voice, text, auditory, and visual design motifs, gesture inputs, and cross-modal interactions
  • Plan conversational pathways using dialogue or narrative trees
  • Shape intent recognition, disambiguation, turn-taking, error handling, and escalation scenarios
  • Map flows using UI elements or freeform text depending on context
  • Define agent voices, behaviours, and boundaries, shaping how it responds, remembers, and acts under pressure
  • Partner with tech to shape what the agent knows, remembers, and can do within or across contexts

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in content design, conversation design, or interaction design, with a focus on AI or agent-led experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to design complex conversation flows and define agent behaviours, linguistic traits, and response patterns across different use cases and brands
  • Experience working with technical teams to shape what the agent knows, remembers, and can do within or across contexts
