Job Title: Technical Support Engineer- Upgrades and Rebuilds Milling

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our Upgrades and Rebuilds team, specializing in Milling and Grinding Equipment. As a key member of our global team, you will provide technical support to our customers, ensuring the successful implementation of upgrades and rebuilds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers on Milling and Grinding Equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Maintain and grow our engineering database of upgrades and rebuilds, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Collaborate with fabricators to deliver high-quality solutions on time and according to FLSmidth specifications.
  • Support the entire Upgrades and Rebuilds team, including Upgrade Packages & Rebuild (GSLMs), Proposals, Audits & Studies, Exchange teams, and regional site sales and professional services teams.
  • Contribute to the growth of the U&R business by identifying and pursuing Rebuild and Upgrade opportunities.
  • Work closely with Product BL engineers to ensure U&R engineering solutions align with the next generation of products and Mission Zero objectives.
  • Generate monthly reports highlighting successes, identifying bottlenecks, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements:

  • Product knowledge of Milling and Grinding (Horizontal Mill and High Pressure Grinding Roll).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and test reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing) preferred.
  • Engineering certification would be an added advantage.
  • Experience specifically with Milling and Grinding Equipment.
  • Relevant experience in engineering software and tools like SolidWorks (Intermediate level), AutoCAD, PLM tools (Enovia) would be advantageous.
  • Good communication skills and attitude.
  • Coordination with global teams.
  • Independent thinking with a structured approach to tasks.
