Portfolio Office Lead Role

This is a strategic and collaborative leadership position that drives excellence across portfolio and project management practices. The role ensures visibility, governance, and continuous improvement through accurate and timely reporting to governance bodies and council stakeholders.

  • Provide analysis and reporting on portfolio and project health and progress to governance bodies and council stakeholders.
  • Liaise with Program Leads and Project Managers to ensure portfolio and project level reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Have line management responsibility for one Portfolio Analyst.
  • Proven track record of running a Portfolio Management Office or delivering programs on time and on budget using disciplined planning and mastery of project management techniques and processes.
  • Critical skills including program and project health reporting, decision making, influencing and a high level of financial acumen.
  • Strong collaboration and relational skills with a proven track record of developing staff capabilities with a demonstrated commitment to respect for the individual and integrity in relationships and communications.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing analysis and hypothesis-driven problem-solving.
  • Developed strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think laterally, courageously and creatively when developing solutions.
  • Aptitude to develop meaningful reports and data-driven insights and dashboards.
  • This is a full-time or part-time permanent role with flexible working arrangements.
  • Remuneration will be a Band 7 classification with superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
