
Transparent Governance Advisor

This role involves providing independent legal and governance advice and services across information access, privacy, complaints, public interest disclosures, and administrative law.
Responsibilities:- Managing requests under GIPA and Standing Order 52
- Providing legal advice and drafting documents including contracts, agreements, and submissions
- Supporting investigations and responses to ICAC, NSW Ombudsman and other regulatory bodies
- Advising on privacy, complaints, and governance matters
- Collaborating across Treasury to promote ethical conduct and compliance
- Contributing to system and process improvements that enhance transparency and accountability
- Admission as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of NSW and a current practising certificate
- Experience in government and/or governance advisory roles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy
- Ability to work autonomously and make justifiable decisions
