
Conflict Resolution Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner to join our team.
- Provide high-quality family dispute resolution services that meet the needs of clients;
- Facilitate property mediation services to help families resolve disputes related to property;
- Deliver intake, information, support and referral services to clients;
- Develop and deliver community education and group work services to promote healthy relationships and conflict resolution skills;
- Promote and network with stakeholders to advance the goals of the Family Relationship Centre;
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of family dynamics and be able to provide expert guidance and support to families in dispute.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you will be responsible for:
- Providing family dispute resolution services in accordance with the Family Law Act, Family Relationship Centre Operational Framework, and organisational Quality Management System policies and procedures;
- Applying knowledge of relevant theoretical models and frameworks (FDR, conflict resolution, child development and child inclusive mediation) to ensure FDR practice appropriate to client needs;
- Articulating the family dispute resolution process to clients and other stakeholders;
- Representing and promoting CatholicCare in the wider community through engagement and development of strong networks and partnerships;
You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Social Work, Psychology, Law, Social or Behavioural Sciences;
- Mediation or Conflict Resolution qualifications and/or National Mediation Accreditation and/or Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner Accreditation;
- Experience in family dispute resolution and child-focused practices;
- A current C or CA class driver's license (QLD);
- The ability to collaborate within a team in an open plan office environment;
- The willingness to travel within the area of service delivery and occasionally outside the area of service delivery;
- The ability to undertake other duties as and when directed within the scope of the role.
