We are looking for a skilled professional to join our project management team. As an Engineering Project Control & Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of capital projects across our site.

The ideal candidate will have qualifications within engineering or business, with experience in project and procurement controls, ideally within a chemical manufacturing environment or similar role in the food, Pharma or petrochemical industry.

Key responsibilities include monitoring, controlling, and administering project progress and performance aspects of project management (scope, time, cost, quality and risk). You will also provide project planning support, including creation of schedules, monitoring of budgets, variance analysis, status reporting, and resource planning alongside project managers.

In addition, you will ensure project control procedures and policies are executed and functioning according to our methodology and performance standards for all projects. You will also coordinate the project change management process, ensuring that all change impacts are properly integrated in project plan (scope, cost, schedule, people) and take proactive action to manage underperformance.

You will work closely with finance and project managers to ensure alignment of project forecasts with current funding and business requirements. Additionally, you will support capital projects with procurement planning and lead end-to-end sourcing activities, supplier evaluation, RFx process, negotiation, and contract execution (with approval via company DOA).

You will identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including single-source dependencies. To succeed in this role, you will need a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

You will be engaging and proactive, with excellent communication skills that you can leverage to engage teams and drive collaboration. You will have demonstrated experience in project control, procurement sourcing, contract negotiation, and contractor management.
