Job Overview

The Customer Service Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing auction administration processes and managing human resources necessary for successful sale day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize sales performance by closely monitoring costs, shrinkage, and staffing levels associated with auction administration and sale day activities.
  • Develop an environment that embodies exceptional customer service standards by continuously monitoring and improving service levels.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating superior customer service and salesmanship skills, while ensuring the team adheres to the same high standards.
  • Identify, coach, and train team members on how to make informed decisions regarding customer service.
  • Ensure the team possesses comprehensive knowledge of RBA computer systems, customer registration processes, and payment requirements.
  • Process DMV transfer documents, CE certificates, collect Sales Tax or Exemption Certificates, reconcile sales transactions, collect Accounts Receivables, and manage banking duties efficiently.
  • Act as a liaison with all organizational levels to ensure accurate reporting and information dissemination.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, financial institutions, local taxation offices, motor vehicle branches, and other relevant parties.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of previous customer service experience in a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to quickly learn new systems and accurately enter data.
  • DMV document processing experience is an asset.
  • Sales Tax collection, exemption, and remittance experience is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and capacity to take initiative.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Able to set priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Positive attitude, good communication skills, and strong written communication abilities.
  • Team player, able to relate to diverse customer bases and workforces.
  • Adaptable and willing to adjust to new ideas or changes.
  • High level of integrity and ethics.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and think critically.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with equipment specifications for data entry and contract details.
