Job Summary

The Manufacturing Operator will be responsible for carrying out duties in a manufacturing environment without direct supervision, prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others. This role requires the ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture polymers and offshore fluids in accordance with batch cards and quality control procedures.
  • Perform pick and packaging duties as required by the business, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Complete relevant documentation, including batch records and quality control reports.
  • Liaise with the chemist to ensure proper sampling and testing is carried out, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Ensure all production equipment is in good working order, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy working environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Observe and enforce traffic management procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in stock take activities, accurately counting and recording inventory levels.
  • Perform other tasks as required by the General Manager or Supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact with various levels of personnel.
  • Ability to solve problems independently, with minimal supervision, and make decisions with confidence.
  • Initiative to prevent non-conformities in processes or systems, identifying and recommending solutions.
  • Verification and confirmation of effective implementation of solutions, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
  • Forklift license and ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Education

High school diploma or GED in a relevant industry, with a strong foundation in science and mathematics.
