About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operator to join our team at Capral, working rotating shifts in our extrusion facility. This is a full-time role that offers great hourly rates, overtime opportunities, and shift allowances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Equipment Safely and Effectively
    • Carry out manufacturing functions in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to site Work Instructions and Safe Operating Procedures.
  • Maintain Quality and Productivity Standards
    • Ensure product quality and packaging standards are met, and delivery targets are achieved.
  • Develop Skills and Knowledge
    • Participate in training to become a multi-skilled team member, expanding your capabilities and contributing to the team's success.
  • Emphasize Safety and Well-being
    • Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators, and promote safety policies and initiatives.
  • Take Ownership of Personal Safety and Performance
    • Take full accountability for your safety and well-being, develop an understanding of risk minimization, and strive for the highest standards of Safety, Health, and the Environment (SH&E).
Requirements
  • Essential Skills and Experience
    • Understanding of basic safety principles.
    • Ability to work autonomously and maintain a high level of activity across all shifts.
    • Demonstrated experience in working in a team environment.
    • Basic understanding of quality principles.
  • Desirable Skills and Experience
    • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with automated machinery.
    • Ability to identify problems and resolve or contribute to resolution thereof.
    • Forklift license.
    • Experience and knowledge of material handling.
    • Basic computer literacy skills.
