Therapeutic Youth Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Therapeutic Youth Worker to join our team at Lifestyle Solutions. As a Therapeutic Youth Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing support and care to children and young people in out-of-home care, with a focus on Aboriginal identifying individuals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily care and support to children and young people, including personal hygiene, health and well-being, medical, transportation, recreational and educational support needs.
- Contribute to and maintain a quality care environment that is safe, clean and personalized to the needs of the children and young people.
- Document accurately events and developments related to the day-to-day provision of care.
- Ensure children and young people's NDIS plans are accessible while in our care.
- Utilize trauma-informed practices and supports in day-to-day care provision.
- Provide positive behavior support, therapeutic interventions and safety to children and young people who may experience events of escalation and crisis.
- Encourage and facilitate opportunities for social engagement, recreation, and community involvement.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of the children and young people.
We are looking for an Aboriginal identifying individual who has a demonstrated passion for helping children and young people heal and grow through understanding and support. You will understand the importance of trauma-informed care, consistency and stability in the lives of children and young people. You will be committed to meticulous documentation and reporting with a deep commitment to the safeguarding of vulnerable children and young people.
