About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Product Designer to join our dynamic team at the Kmart Group. As a key member of our product team, you will be responsible for leading the design efforts across our digital platforms, including the Kmart and Target apps and websites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Drive end-to-end customer experiences for Kmart and Target online shoppers, focusing on enhancing user satisfaction and driving profitability.
  • Identify and improve critical customer journeys, working across functions to implement strategies that enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Support digital trade activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to make necessary changes to the website and apps.
  • Innovate and experiment, leading the development and implementation of new capabilities to keep our digital products competitive and user-friendly.
  • Advocate for customer-centricity, promoting a customer-centric culture across the organization.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar role, with a strong background in retail and customer-facing products or services.
  • Experience in digital design for e-commerce is highly regarded.
  • Exposure to end-to-end design processes, from research and discovery through to delivery and measurement.
  • Experience with human-centered design processes and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a high-activity environment with competing priorities and time pressures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate with influence.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills are essential.
