We are seeking an experienced Procurement Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in developing and executing category plans, strategies and frameworks to meet client needs and expectations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and leading category plans to drive business value and growth
- Presenting project outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders and decision-makers
- Developing strategic sourcing initiatives that deliver consistent quality outcomes across our diverse client base
- Managing contract negotiations with vendors and ensuring optimal vendor delivery
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and clients to provide advice on procurement category strategy and report on procurement activity in terms of progress, results, client satisfaction, value and cost.
Requirements:- Tertiary education in Business, Commerce or related fields
- 3-5 years' experience in procurement, purchasing and negotiation
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organisational levels
- Experience in financial modelling, feasibility studies and total cost of ownership analysis
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Sound proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
