Job Overview

The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia seeks a highly skilled and experienced pilot to fill the role of Training and Checking Pilot.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver flight training and checking programs ensuring safety, compliance, and excellence in all facets of operations
  • Work closely with the Head of Training and Checking overseeing high operational standards
  • Ensure crew members are well-versed in values of care, integrity, collaboration, innovation
Requirements:
  • CASA CPL (A) license
  • Current IPC (3 renewals)
  • Minimum 2500 total flight hours
  • Minimum 2000 hours command
  • 200 hours night flying experience
  • Able work independently multi-disciplinary team
  • Recent single pilot IFR (within 2 years)
  • Confident decision-making abilities
  • Ability develop maintain learning safety culture RFDS
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience operating aircraft remote areas
  • Experience flying Cessna C208B Pilatus PC12 aircraft
  • Knowledge rural remote Australia
  • Current flight instructor rating
  • Flight Examiner Rating
  • Experience training checking Airborne Law Enforcement ALE operations
  • Experience turbine engine aircraft
