Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Lead to join our Wealth Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the Product Governance and Suitability Risk Frameworks, identifying and escalating product and suitability risks, and contributing to the Product & Investment Risk Committee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Product Governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse and assess product and suitability risks, providing recommendations for mitigation and remediation.
  • Maintain the Approved Product List, ensuring it remains up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct due diligence on client books of proposed new financial advisors.
  • Review and approve new products as part of the Capital Markets Committee.
  • Perform ongoing reviews of tasks related to compliance with the Product Governance Policy.
  • Collaborate with the Product & Investment Risk Committee to identify and mitigate product and suitability risks.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in risk management or product roles within top-tier firms.
  • University degree in finance, business, or economics; recognised industry qualifications preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian and international financial markets and products.
  • High attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
