About the Employer:

About the Role:

Working within the convenience and independent petroleum sector, this is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Category Manager to enhance the organization’s merchandising and category management effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the execution of category strategies to secure optimal rebates and pricing/promotions for members
  • Building and maintaining relationships with trade partners and suppliers, including conducting meetings and presentations as necessary
  • Analyzing market trends and sales data from both proprietary and partner sources
  • Overseeing reporting and CRM management as required

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position, ideally within grocery, convenience, or FMCG sectors
  • Comprehensive understanding of purchasing cycles and consumer behavior
  • Proficiency in interpreting analytical data, including tools such as AZTEC, Nielson, or Summit insights
  • Capability to develop strategies that meet key performance indicators
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences including management, team members, and suppliers
  • A collaborative team-oriented mindset
  • Commitment to career development
