Data Governance Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Governance Manager to join our team at Randstad. As a senior management role, this position will lead and manage the Governance function to achieve high standards of performance, accountability, collaboration, ethics, and integrity.
About the Role- The successful candidate will develop and implement a robust data governance framework to ensure data quality, data risk management, data integrity, and security across the organization.
- This individual will create and implement a data ownership model, including the establishment of data domains, to govern data products across the organization.
- The Manager of Data Governance will establish and administer divisional and executive data governance forums.
- Collaboration with teams such as Technology, Risk, Operations, and Science is essential for establishing and enforcing data governance policies and procedures.
- This role requires working closely with other unit managers to assess and provide guidance on the governance of data products.
- The successful candidate will develop and deliver training programs to enhance data literacy throughout the organization.
- Guidance on best data practices will be provided to other parts of the organization, and the Data Architect will work closely to implement data governance tools.
- Develop and implement a robust data governance framework to ensure data quality, data risk management, data integrity, and security across the organization.
- Create and implement a data ownership model, including the establishment of data domains, to govern data products across the organization.
- Establish and administer divisional and executive data governance forums.
- Collaborate with teams such as Technology, Risk, Operations, and Science to establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
- Work closely with other unit managers to independently assess and provide guidance on the governance of data products.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance data literacy throughout the organization.
- Provide guidance on best data practices to other parts of the organization and work closely with the Data Architect to implement data governance tools.
- Lead and manage the Governance team to achieve high standards of performance, accountability, collaboration, ethics, and integrity.
- A relevant tertiary degree and/or postgraduate qualifications are desirable.
- A proven record of achievement in a senior management role leading a business unit/enterprise through change to achieve high performance and a positive organizational culture.
- Leadership experience and a record of achievement in leading a data governance function.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and methodologies (DAMA/DCAM).
- Prior experience with Azure, Databricks, and cloud-based data governance tools is advantageous.
- Proven ability to apply relevant government legislation, regulations, reporting directives, and procedures to achieve optimal organizational outcomes.
