About this role:

As a key member of our Inventory team, you will be responsible for providing ongoing support and development to the rest of the team.

Your primary duties will include maintaining our materials process by analyzing and quantifying materials data, actioning accordingly, and assisting in the development of periodic inventory counts.

You will also be responsible for managing and maintaining material master data, acting in accordance with supply policies and procedures, analyzing inventory settings and making or recommending changes, performing item reviews for aged inventory and any material no longer required by the business, optimizing bulk and individually managed commodities, ensuring timely resolution of any inventory related issues, challenging existing methods, identifying and implementing improvement strategies to optimize the supply chain, proactively developing and maintaining positive working relationships and communication channels with key stakeholders, collaborating with warehouse team members for effective inventory management, assisting in problem solving and with any identified areas of difficulty that impacts the customer, providing guidance on best practice for Materials management, and supporting the inventory superintendent and inventory team as required in reporting and process development.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have at least 3 years' experience in a similar position, be tertiary qualified in an associated field or equivalent industry experience, be able to work well in a team environment or autonomously as required, have analysis and problem solving skills, flexibility to visit WA operational sites as required, an advanced knowledge of facets of material management, warehousing and logistics processes and procedures, advanced knowledge of Microsoft excel and word, advanced knowledge of inventory optimisation tools, awareness of basic business improvement tools and processes, experience in vendor/ contractor management, and experience in transport and remote location logistics.
