Rail Operations Coordinator

The role involves coordinating container movements and ensuring timely delivery to meet customer and business requirements. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage and coordinate rail operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Container Management: Process containers into the yard, apply correct stickers, and send them to designated locations.
  • Data Entry: Verify accurate information on empty arrivals and update data in our system.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain 'De-Hires' records and ensure daily completion.
  • Temperature Monitoring: Monitor reefer temperature and notify customers of any issues.
  • Communication: Communicate with drivers and customers regarding container movements and inquiries.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform general clerical duties, including answering phone calls and recording data.
  • Team Support: Assist team members and management as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary: High School Certificate or equivalent (preferred).
  • Licenses: Driver's License (Car).

Skills:

  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in Word & Excel.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven problem-solving ability.
  • Customer Service: Defining and meeting service obligations to clients.
  • System Knowledge: Sound knowledge of Management and Distribution systems.
