Key Product Management Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Assistant Product Manager. This role will play a crucial part in the delivery of critical Defence projects, safeguarding Australia's future.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Integrated Product Manager and Deputy Manager with budget and finance activities.
  • Support analysis and implementation of product management strategies to optimize Defence asset use.
  • Manage relationships with contractors to ensure timely communication on project requirements and risks.
  • Participate in acquisition program activities and working groups.
  • Provide feedback on deliverables and assist with transition tasks.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project planning tools.
  • Experience working in fast-paced project environments with cross-functional teams, ideally from within the Defence industry.
  • Knowledge of the One Defence Capability System (ODCS) and Defence policies.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and support teams through strategy and change initiatives.
  • CURRENTLY HOLD AND MAINTAIN A MINIMUM NEGATIVE VETTING 1 OR HIGHER SECURITY CLEARANCE AS REQUIRED BY THE COMMONWEALTH.
