Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Control Analytics Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for enabling operational leadership in the delivery of our risk management strategy, ensuring compliance and protection of the company. The role will involve analysing data to understand potential and emerging risks, providing insight and analysis to optimise the first-line Risk Management function, and leading the development of risk analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of risk analytics solutions to support the risk management strategy
  • Analyse data to understand potential and emerging risks and provide insight and analysis to optimise the first-line Risk Management function
  • Develop and maintain risk models and analytics tools to support risk management decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective risk management practices are in place
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in risk management and analytics
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' business leadership experience within the financial services industry, preferably insurance
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, engage and develop others
  • Specific experience and associated understanding and knowledge of the current and emerging regulatory, commercial, technology and operational trends in Australia
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to build and sustain effective relationships both internally and externally
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and influencing ability
  • Ability to translate complex analysis into clear action
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills
