The Opportunity

We are seeking an Experienced Telecommunications Engineer to join our team in Adelaide, South Australia. As a telecommunications engineering specialist, you will provide technical advice and operational support for high voltage network design, commissioning, and maintenance standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting design reviews, assessing tenders against prescribed standards, and providing technical integration expertise in a telecommunications environment.

Key Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Electronic disciplines or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a related role with demonstrated knowledge of legislated industry requirements (National Electricity Rules, SA Electricity Transmission Code, AEMO Guidelines).
  • Well-developed technical integration skills in a telecommunications environment with good understanding of technical standards and sound experience with telecoms design and commissioning systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of PDH, SDH, WDM technologies, coupled with relevant experience in microwave radio design and installation and optic fibre systems.
  • Experience in accurate fault investigation and event recording, adhering to company SLA's and local Operational Procedures.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and foster good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
