The Opportunity

We are seeking an Experienced Telecommunications Engineer to join our team in Adelaide, South Australia, focusing on providing telecommunications engineering services to customers, stakeholders, vendors, and colleagues.

You will provide specialist technical advice and operational support for telecommunications design, commissioning, handover, and maintenance standards, detailed scopes & specifications, and assess the telecommunications aspects of tenders against prescribed standards.

Responsibilities include conducting telecommunications design reviews, integrating feasibility studies, site surveillance audits, and technical investigations for telecommunications network commissioning issues.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical/Electronic disciplines or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a related role, with demonstrated knowledge of legislated industry requirements (National Electricity Rules, SA Electricity Transmission Code, AEMO Guidelines).
  • Well-developed technical integration skills in a telecommunications environment, with good understanding of technical standards and sound experience with telecoms design and commissioning systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of PDH, SDH, WDM technologies, coupled with relevant experience in microwave radio design and installation and optic fibre systems.
  • Experience in accurate fault investigation and event recording, adhering to company SLA's and local Operational Procedures.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and foster good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and after-hours commitments.
Salary and Benefits

This position offers a highly competitive salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
