About the Role
The Program Manager, Policy will lead a dynamic team driving policy and advocacy initiatives that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing.
This senior leadership role oversees strategic policy projects, fosters collaboration across teams, and ensures alignment with the Institute's 2024–2027 Strategic Plan.
About You
You will be a strong leader with a deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health contexts and a commitment to cultural safety. Your experience in policy development, research, or project management will be matched by your ability to lead high-performing teams and build meaningful relationships across sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated understanding of the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, including a strong commitment to cultural safety and the ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Experience in two or more of the following areas: policy development, research and evaluation or project management, with a clear understanding of jurisdictional policy cycles, production, impact and evaluation.
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate with diverse personnel, including experience supervising staff and fostering a culturally safe and high performing team environment.
