Job Title

We are seeking a mining leader to oversee the operations of our coal mine in Queensland, Australia.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

  • Accountable for all mine operations, including maintenance and infrastructure development.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and legal requirements.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and safety teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime.
  • Lead and mentor team members to foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare reports on performance metrics and other relevant data for senior management.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar position within an underground mining operation.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • High level of strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety with previous experience in identifying risks and implementing safe working practices.
