Sales and Visual Merchandising Expert

We are seeking a Senior Sales Associate (Visual Merchandising) to deliver a unique shopping experience through excellent customer service in a fast-paced, specialty retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create engaging experiences for customers by sharing expertise on enhancing their home.
  2. Drive sales through strategic merchandising and leading weekly promotional and visual changes.
  3. Ensure the store meets visual, replenishment, cleanliness, safety and back of house standards.
  4. Provide operational support to the store management team by performing opening and closing routines, register functions and back-office procedures.
  5. Meet personal targets and supervise and coach the team to deliver world-class service and achieve team goals.
  6. Utilize effective selling techniques and provide in-depth product knowledge.
  7. Create and ensure a positive environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity, in accordance with our People-First Philosophy.

Requirements:

  1. Have retail sales experience, ideally in visual merchandising, specialty retail and / or homewares.
  2. Have customer service experience.
  3. Have experience in managing others or are looking to step into a leadership role.
  4. Be passionate about homewares and design.
  5. Love to sell and be driven to meet and exceed targets.
  6. Succeed in a team environment but can work independently and manage your own time.
  7. Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and constantly look for ways to upsell and cross-sell.
  8. Enjoy engaging with customers, discovering their story, style and lifestyle to connect them to the right products.
  9. Have the ability to convert customers and capture emails through engaging store and community events.
  10. Be most successful when provided with clearly defined sales goals and metrics.
  11. Have effective communication, organisation and leadership skills.
  12. Be able to coach team members to succeed in meeting targets.
