Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project accounting and cost control, with excellent SAP transactional experience and knowledge of month-end processes and project reporting.

About the Role

This is a 6-month temporary role based in Perth CBD with hybrid work arrangements (part-time possibility). As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for creating purchase orders and processing invoices in SAP, supporting the end-to-end P2P cycle and vendor recoveries, assisting with month-end journals, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting, and contributing to asset capitalisation and project cost closeouts.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end journals, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Contribute to asset capitalisation and project cost closeouts
  • Run reports and provide accurate financial data for project managers and engineers
What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3–6 years' project accounting or cost control experience in large / global organisations
  • Strong SAP transactional experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Good knowledge of month-end processes and project reporting
  • Solid Excel / MS Office skills
  • Detail-focused, accurate, and comfortable with high-volume work
  • Clear communication style — able to explain finance to non-financial stakeholders
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and flexible across global time zones
